Purpose
To establish standards in regards to UNMC College of Pharmacy students receiving remissions. Remissions for the purposes of this policy are limited to “Non-Resident Tuition Waivers” and “Board of Regents Scholarships.”

Non-Resident Tuition Waivers
- Non-Nebraska applicants to the UNMC College of Pharmacy (COP) will be reviewed consistent with the same academic and professional standards as required for resident applicants for admission into the program.
- The UNMC COP Admission’s Committee will make the final decision regarding a candidate’s application, either accepting or denying admission into the COP.
- During the offer of Admission, non-Nebraska residents will be notified of a “Non-Resident Tuition Waiver” which may be offered upon acceptance into the program. The amount of the “Non-Resident Tuition Waiver” will vary year to year based upon Board of Regent tuition rates, but will equal or slightly higher than Resident tuition rates.
- Adjustment of Non-Resident Waiver amounts will be at the discretion of the UNMC COP Dean and Executive Leadership Team.

Board of Regents Scholarships
- The Board of Regents Scholarship (aka The UNMC Regents Scholarship for Academic Excellence) is awarded to the top 14 students within the COP based upon the following criterion:
- Five 4th Year (P4) Pharmacy students with the highest cumulative COP GPA.
- Four 3rd Year (P3) Pharmacy students with the highest cumulative COP GPA.
- Three 2nd Year (P2) Pharmacy students with the highest cumulative COP GPA.
- Two 1st Year 4th (P) Pharmacy students with the highest undergraduate GPA.
- Only Nebraska residents are eligible for Board of Regent Scholarships.
- The Board of Regents Scholarship (aka The UNMC Regents Scholarship for Academic Excellence) is awarded to the top 14 students within the COP based upon the following criterion:
