Purpose
Establishes compliance and immunization requirements.
Scope
This policy applies to professional graduate students.
Policy
Upon admission to the professional graduate program and on December 1 of each year, the professional graduate student must provide evidence according to the UNMC Student handbook of:
- Health Information Privacy and Protection Act (HIPAA) training.
- Blood-borne pathogens training.
- Current Registered Nurse license.
- Current Hepatitis B immunization and/or a reactive Hepatitis B titer.
- Annual completion of a test for tuberculosis.
- Annual flu immunization.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for Health Care Providers certificate that will remain current through each semester the student is enrolled.
- Background check.
- Drug screening when required by clinical agency.
