The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine (COM) is a participating institution in the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) program. The VSLO program application service facilitates the application process for COM students in Phase 3 to apply for away electives at Host institutions.
Students may participate in a maximum of three (3) away electives unless otherwise approved by the Curriculum Committee. Away clinical electives meet criteria for sub-internship rotations. The ability to participate is dependent on the presence of a valid affiliation agreement with the external facility at the start of the rotation.
