 The Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) is a non-profit student organization that serves to promote professional development through education, leadership opportunities, networking, volunteer activities, social activities and fundraising. SOTA creates a professional culture that is member-driven and facilitates communication between first year and second year students, allowing all members to have the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s yearly objectives. 

Students of the University of Nebraska-American Physical Therapy Association (SUN-APTA)

SUN-APTA is a collective body of student physical therapists at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).

  • Develop relationships between members, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Prepare members for career-long, active participation, in professional organizations
  • SUN-APTA promote the profession of physical therapy in coordination with the APTA-NE and APTA national chapter
  • Provide educational and professional development opportunities directed toward the unique needs of students
  • Perform service to positively impact the lives of people in the community
