Utilization of the Program’s Energized Lab
Policy Scope
This policy applies to all Radiography (RT) students.
Policy Statement
Students’ utilization of the energized laboratory must be under the supervision of a qualified radiographer who is readily available. If a qualified radiographer is not readily available to provide supervision, the radiation exposure mechanism must be disabled. Appropriate radiation safety practices must be adhered to at all times. The certificate of registration, operating and safety procedures, and any notices of violations involving radiological working conditions of the energized lab are securely stored and available upon request from program faculty.
