Purpose
To ensure each student is attired in a manner that complies with safety requirements and will present a professional appearance to the faculty, staff, patient, visitor, medical staff, and hospital personnel.
Policy
Cytology students will attend classroom and laboratory in appropriate attire.
When in any classroom settings, students will dress appropriately and/or professionally. Appropriate street wear includes full‑length pants/skirts, and tops that provide appropriate coverage. When in the laboratory, students will cover their clothes with the required Personal Protective Equipment. Legs and feet must be always covered when in the laboratory. Therefore, students must wear nylons or other coverings with their knee-length skirts and must wear shoes that cover their entire feet.
Each student shall comply with the dress code, identification badge policy, and safety codes of the clinical placement location to which they are assigned.
