For more information, a student can contact their regional education service specialist or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Veteran Education Benefits
In compliance with Section 103 of the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, the University of Nebraska Medical Center will not impose a late fee, deny access to facilities or services, or assess any other penalty against a veteran or eligible dependent due to a late payment of tuition and/or fees from the VA, so long as the payment is received to the University of Nebraska Medical Center within 90 days after the date on which the University certifies or invoices for tuition and fees. This restriction does not apply in cases where the student owes additional payment to the University of Nebraska Medical Center beyond the amount of the tuition and fee payment from the VA.

Yellow Ribbon Program
The University of Nebraska Medical Center is a Yellow Ribbon Program participant. That means students may be eligible for additional funds to cover costs. The Post-9/11 GI Bill™ pays up to a national yearly maximum that is set by the Department of Veteran Affairs on an annual basis. The Yellow Ribbon Program helps pay for tuition and fees in excess of that amount approved. For more information, regarding the Yellow Ribbon program, 1-888-442-4551.
There is a certifying official on the UNMC Omaha campus located in the Financial Aid department. The official is able to assist/guide a veteran student with any University or education benefit matter, by phone, email, zoom or in person.
