Students' progress through the course material sequentially, which maintains the integrity of the learning process and prevents "testing out" of content. They are required to complete four courses in each of the fall and spring terms that are built sequentially in four-week blocks and three one-credit courses that span the full 17-week semester. In the summer term, students will complete four four-week courses and a one-week comprehensive exam course at the end. This provides a structured timeline while allowing some flexibility in pace. This model ensures students stay on track with their studies while accommodating individual schedules and learning pace within the semester.
The program requires the completion of 42 credit hours. All courses closely mirror traditional online courses and adhere to CEPH Foundational Learning Objectives and competencies and mirror the traditional courses to endure the same academic rigor as traditional MPH programs.
Due to the accelerated nature, elective courses are predetermined in order to provide a well-rounded education. The Applied Practice Experience (APEx) will occur throughout the 12-month program. At the conclusion of the final semester, students will complete a Comprehensive Exam instead of a Capstone Project.
