Feedback Completion Requirements by Students
The purpose of this policy is to establish uniform procedures for the collection and use of student feedback for courses and instructors in the College of Medicine. It is imperative that standardized and accurate procedures are employed to ensure reliable and valid data collection. This is a requirement outlined by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, University of Nebraska Board of Regents, and the College of Medicine. Further, it is essential that the procedures employed protect the rights of both the instructors and the students.
Receiving substantive, representative, and professional feedback from students about the medical school curriculum and instructors is crucial in helping the College understand program strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities to improve the educational experience for future students. In addition, learning to give and receive feedback is an integral part of developing professional skills students will need as future physicians.
