The Master of Health Professions Teaching & Technology Program is designed to prepare a new generation of health professions educators to teach in programs related to allied health, medicine, public health, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, and other health professions, as well as to prepare them to assess and integrate new and emerging educational technology. The goal of the program is to provide health professions educators with a solid foundation in health science education, teaching skills, and the science of teaching.

Curriculum

The completely online program fosters improvement in interprofessional instruction and innovative teaching methods in both academic and non-academic settings. Courses explore learning theory, best practices in teaching, the design and application of educational research, and investigation of the uses of instructional technology in health professions education. Degree completion requires 30 credit hours consisting of core courses (18 credit hours), electives (9 credit hours), and a portfolio-based capstone project (3 credit hours).
