Introductory course in the management of patients of all abilities. This course will provide a broad overview of topics concerning the dental management of patients with complex medical, physical, or intellectual considerations. It will provide students with knowledge about causes, classifications, and oral manifestations of the more common disabling conditions.

DENT 561 INTRODUCTION TO ORAL RADIOLOGY 1 Credit Hour
This course consists of a study of intraoral radiographic techniques and radiation safety practices. It will also provide the dental student the information in radiation physics and biology necessary for safe, effective exposure and processing of radiographic/digital images in dental practice. Other topics include advanced imaging modalities and anatomy on intraoral radiographs.

DENT 562 RADIOGRAPHIC INTERPRETATION 1 Credit Hour
This course introduces the students with the systematic method of interpreting the normal and abnormal findings on radiographs. Topics covered include caries, periapical inflammatory lesion, periodontal bone loss, anomalies, fibro-osseous lesions, radiographic description, odontogenic cysts and tumors, and malignant neoplasms.

DENT 615 TOPICS IN DENTAL PUBLIC HEALTH 1 Credit Hour
This course is an introductions to topics in dental public health. Not all students will specialize in dental public health and not all students will go on to earn their Master's in Public health; however, all students will be given an opportunity to learn public health concepts that they can readily apply in their dental practice regardless of the specialty or type of dentistry they pursue in their professional endeavors. In addition to consistently learning lecture content with course director, learner swill interact with inter- and intra-professional care providers, to gain knowledge of barriers to oral health among underserved populations, and to strategies for improving health outcomes. This course will also provide brief introductions and support for opportunities outside the course which includes but is not limited to: VetMOM, student rural health department rotations, extramural rotations with FQHC and charitable clinics, and student loan scholarship and repayment opportunities.
