Description of Program
The UNMC College of Dentistry Advanced Standing Dental Program allows dentists educated outside of the United States the opportunity to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree. Completion of our Advanced Standing DDS program fulfills educational requirements for eligibility for licensure examinations and postgraduate training (i.e., a residency), which ultimately leads to licensure in all US states and territories.
Eligibility
The UNMC College of Dentistry Advanced Standing Dental Program has been developed for individuals who have completed the equivalent of a D.M.D. or D.D.S. program in a non-U.S. or Canadian accredited dental school. It is intended for individuals who are interested in pursuing a dental career in the U.S. or are interested in returning to their country with additional skills acquired in a U.S. accredited D.D.S. program. This program is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
