The Immunology, Pathology & Infectious Disease Master of Science program is designed to provide a strong background in pathobiology, microbiology and other basic sciences, thereby enhancing the student's preparation for further career advancement. There are also opportunities to obtain international training through the International Alliance on Staphylococcus aureus Research and Education.
MS Curriculum
Students must choose to pursue either a Thesis Track or a Non-Thesis Track degree.
M.S. Thesis and Non-thesis:
Completion of at least 30 semester credits beyond the bachelor’s degree (lecture/coursework + research credit).
IPBS 805 FUNDAMENTALS OF CELLULAR PROCESSES 3 Cr.
IPBS 860 SUCCESS SKILLS FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS 1 Cr.
PMI 896/899 RESEARCH FOR NON-THESIS or THESIS 1-12 Cr.
PMI 970 SEMINAR (each fall and spring) 1-3 Cr.
PMI 992 ADVANCED TOPICS IN Topics in IPID (each fall and spring) 1-3 Cr.
At least FOUR ELECTIVE graduate-level courses are required for all M.S. students 8-12 Cr.
RCR training is required for all M.S. Students:
