The purpose of the Certificate in Health Professions Teaching & Technology is to provide health professions educators with an introduction topics in health science education, teaching skills, and the science of teaching. Students must complete a total of 12 credit hours to earn the certificate. A list of eligible courses can be found below. Students completing the certificate program may elect to continue their studies to earn a Master of Health Professions Teaching & Technology.

HPTT Courses
Students must complete any four of the following courses:

HPTT 804MULTIMEDIA AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES FOR LEARNING IN THE HEALTH PROFESSIONS3
HPTT 805EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT OF TEACHING AND LEARNING IN HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION3
HPTT 823LEADERSHIP IN HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION3
HPTT 830RESEARCH ANALYSIS AND DESIGN FOR HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION3
Health Educators and Academic Leaders (HEAL) students will substitute the following four seminar courses for one of the three credit courses listed above.
HPTT 876: HEAL seminar series A (1 CR)
HPTT 877: HEAL seminar series B (1 CR)
HPTT 878: HEAL seminar series C (1 CR)
HPTT 879: HEAL seminar series D (1 CR)
